FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Yes! Our patients are able to receive expert guidance from our obesity medicine board certified physician included in the cost of the direct primary care membership.

  • We offer personalized weight loss plans that focus on lifestyle modifications as the cornerstone of successful weight management. We understand that medication can be a helpful tool for many individuals, and we can discuss the potential benefits and risks of options like Wegovy (Semaglutide), Zepbound (Tirzepatide), Saxenda (Liraglutide), Contrave (Naltrexone-Bupropion), and Qsymia (Phentermine/Topiramate) during your treatment course. Weight loss medications are indicated for patients with a BMI of ≥27-29.9 plus one or more weight-related conditions (such as Type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart disease, obstructive sleep apnea, symptomatic osteoarthritis, hepatic steatosis, mental health disorders, and difficulty with physical function) or a BMI ≥30.

  • The time it takes to lose weight varies from person to person. Several factors influence weight loss, including starting weight, metabolism, dietary and exercise pattern and adherence to the program. While there's no one-size-fits-all answer, many patients start seeing results within a few weeks of starting the program. The SURMOUNT-4 trial published in 2024 showed that for patients taking Zepbound (Tirzepatide) at 10-15 mg, the overall mean weight reduction from week 0 to 88 was 25.3% total body weight.

  • Dr. Wilson offers comprehensive support, including medication management when appropriate. You'll have regular check-ins to monitor your progress and make adjustments as needed. We also provide education on healthy lifestyle habits to help you achieve long-term success.
